How to protect your private information
• Your personal information stays safe when you keep your account details known only to vidaXL and yourself.
• Create a strong password for your account. Avoid using your name or birthday in your password(s).
• Check that you're on the official vidaXL website: ‘https://www.vidaxl.xx’ (xx depends per country, and sometimes the language abbreviation is before 'vidaxl' (f.ex. https://www.en.vidaxl.xx). A lock icon in your URL bar means that you’re on a safe internet page.
• Be mindful of how much information you share online. The more information you share on the internet, the more vulnerable you are to scammers and identity fraud.

Phone calls
Some vidaXL departments make outbound calls to customers for Customer Service purposes. However, vidaXL Customer Service will never ask you to disclose sensitive information, detailed banking information, or offer you a refund you’re not expecting.

Emails
For customer service purposes, we’ll only send you emails via the official vidaXL email address, @vidaxl.xx (xx stands for the country code).

How to protect your network
• Log in only if you trust your network and website.
• We advise you to avoid logging in if the login page looks different from what you are used to.
• If the login page seems suspicious, please close all tabs to disconnect

How to recognize phishing/scams
Phishing is a way internet scammers try to get ahold of your personal information or login information. A fraudulent email may be disguised as, for example, a survey, contest, or social media post. The goal of phishing is to trick you into visiting a fake website or entering your personal information.

How to spot phishing/scams? The tips below may help you!
• The sender’s email address looks suspicious.
• You’re asked for personal information such as your bank information, payment details, username, or password.
• Your name isn't on top of the message (vidaXL will always address you directly).
• You’re asked to click on a link to track the shipment of an item you haven’t ordered.
• The message is urgent, like a threat that your account will be closed very soon unless you take immediate action.
• You’re invited to a contest which you can win by clicking a link and entering your (personal) details.
• You weren’t expecting the message.

How to avoid phishing/scams
• It's best not to pay anything to claim a (contest) prize or pay to receive a larger amount of money.
• It's best not to pay anything if you’re promised a credit card or loan.
• Avoid accepting any offer via the internet or phone if you can’t verify that it’s genuine.
• We recommend not paying anything to anyone whose identity you can’t verify.
• It's best to ignore emails asking for your bank details unless the email is from our official email address.
• It's best to ignore emails asking for your account details. vidaXL will never ask for your password.

Payment security
vidaXL processes payments only through the official vidaXL website. A few countries offer Cash on Delivery, such as Romania. For wholesale businesses, we process payment via bank transfer to a legitimate vidaXL account that’s been verified with the vidaXL wholesale specialist via vidaXL email.

How to report fraud or concerns
If you notice anything suspicious during your purchase with vidaXL, believe you are a victim of fraud, or received a package/order confirmation without having placed an order, please contact our customer service team.
